Rippie Camaro runs
flawlessly!

Congratulations to John Berger and his son Kristian for finishing 3rd in the SSGT2
class (17th overall) in their #22 Doug Rippie modified Camaro. John took his 1998
Camaro over to DRM for upgrades which included a 383 cu. in. LS1 450hp conversion,
CoilOver suspension, roll bar, custom race seats, harness system, Wilwood 6-piston front
Calipers and Performance Friction 90 compound brake pads.
John was very impressed with the reliability of this
car. While many other tuner cars had a variety of mechanical failures, requiring
overnighting parts and working feverishly on their cars, this Rippie car just needed gas
and oil. The same brake pads lasted for 7000 miles. John says that he elected
to have Rippie build the car since he felt that no matter how fast a car is, it's the one
that finishes that wins.
Next year expect to see other DRM modified cars in
the One Lap of America.
