Front Brake Ducts for all C5-C6 Corvettes

Will not work with the Pfadt swaybars

Instead of blowing air aimlessly around the wheel well, these brake ducts finish where GM left off.  Air is blown directly into the hub/rotor area to dramatically reduce rotor temperature.  Works with up to 10" wide 18" tall front rims.  These are now standard equipment on our C500/RSR.
We recommend using these in combination with our
Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines and Stainless Steel Pistons for the ultimate in repetitive and high speed stopping performance on stock GM calipers.

Last summer while we were developing these ducts, our C500/RSR test car with just the factory cooling would repeatedly burn and damage the piston seals on our 6-piston AP calipers after 4-6 hours of very hard track driving at Road America. After installation of these ducts, we have yet to see any failures of the piston seals after 20 hours of high speed testing!

Kit includes left and right ducts with high temp hose and clamp.  All hardware included with instructions. 1 hour installation time.

Stock rotors will not hold up under repeated extreme braking, especially when coupled with high performance brake pads. The killer is heat. DRM’s high performance rotor and hat assemblies are race proven to take the heat. Their extra thickness can handle the extreme temperatures without warping, and their directional cooling fins rapidly dissipate heat. The billet aluminum hats also aid in pulling heat out of the rotors. All this adds up to longer life for rotors, wheel bearings, brake pads and brake fluid.

DRM Tranny and Diff cooler kits



These DRM coolers have been tested around the world at many different race tracks.  They have been tested to 600 horsepower in roadracing applications.  It will bring your fuild temps down to a cool level.  They mount in the factory ZO6 duct location.  There is a small amount of wiring needed.  The kit includes the pump, cooler,  aeroquip lines, AN swivel fittings, install pics.  The normal install time is 3 hours for each unit.  DRM recommends Redline fuild for added protection.

High Capacity Aluminum Radiator with internal Engine Oil Cooler

  This system works!  On the track you will see a huge difference in oil temps.  Water temps will remain good the whole session.  We have installed these in World Challenge cars, track cars, big horsepower street cars, with only great results.  Ron Davis has been building the best radiators for many years.  They have many victories in  ALMS, Nascar, Offroad, and etc.  The craftmanship is great which makes the radiators speak for themselves.  Our line kit that we sell with the package is bullet proof.  -10 Aeroquip SS braided line, swivel AN fittings for easy installation, and about the simplest-smallest block adapters on the market today.

DRM Coilover suspension system C5-C6


This coilover setup uses Bilstein shocks, Hyperco springs, and all  DRM hardware.  This kit will not be mistaken for any of the lesser systems out there. You can expect years of trouble free use from our mounting systems, not like other coilovers on the market.  This system has been proven at the track and street alike.  If you need a edge in the corners or need more predictable handling then this is the setup for you!

DRM now offers high performance sway bars for the 1997-2004 C5 Corvettes.  These are GM's T-1 sway bars developed for showroom stock racing.  The bars are sold as a kit which includes front and rear bars, 4 sway bar links, 4 bushings and mounting hardware.  Unlike the kit available directly from GM our kit does not include control arms, springs or other components, thus allowing you to quickly and inexpensively bolt on some enhanced handling to your C5 Corvette and retain its quality ride.  NOTE C6 REQUIRES A MUFFLER CHANGE

A word about brake fluid.

DRM recommends Castrol SRF or Motul RBF600 due to their high wet boiling points. All brake fluids absorb moisture, some faster than others (except silicone which is not recommended for anti-lock brake systems). Castrol SRF resists moisture contamination (non-hygroscopic) more than any other fluid we tested, therefore change intervals can be greatly extended. This reduces the effective cost over a season of racing. Many drivers say that they can run the same fluid all year long with only bleeding off the fluid in the calipers for each event. This way a can or two will last all year. Other fluids (hygroscopic type) require additional flushing of the system for each track event to maintain the lowest percentage of moisture and the highest boiling point. For cars over 3000 pounds on high speed road courses DRM recommends brake fluids that do not fall below 400°F wet boiling


SCCA T-1 legal Radiator

 This is the only SCCA T1 aftermarket radiator that can be used.  Built by Ron Davis Radiators, with the same great standards as the EOC radiator.  This radiator only requires small mods to fit inside your stock C5 Corvette radiator bucket.  SCCA does not allow built in oil coolers.

PFC Race pads for stock calipers

 

 

 

 

 01 Compound
The 01 race pad is a newly developed compound. This pad is the flagship pad for touring cars and most saloon car applications. In terms of supreme braking, it supercedes all of Performance Frictions earlier Compounds. It takes more heat to get this pad to function as intended but at the same time it has an extremely high heat tolerance, being able to see temperatures in excess of 1200 degrees Fahrenheit without seeing excess wear. The ideal working temperature for this pad is between 600 and 900 degrees Fahrenheit. While being a more difficult pad to modulate, its release characteristics are this pads strong suit. PFC 01 is an extremely high friction compound, with a high flat torque curve, providing excellent modulation. Better pad wear than the 83 compound, with a smooth, fast release. PFC 01 polishes the rotor without pad material build-up. This compound has had success in CART, Winston Cup, Busch, ASA and Featherlite Modified Series racing.

Stainless steel brake pistons

 The factory aluminum pistons are a huge heat sink, rapidly transmitting heat from the pads into the fluid. DRM’s stainless steel pistons insulate the fluid resulting in a more consistent brake pedal and less chance of fluid boil. When high performance or racing pads are used these pistons are considered a must.

Stainless Steel Brake Lines

Under even mild conditions stock brake hoses expand with every push of the brake pedal. This condition results in a soft pedal, reducing the efficiency of your brake system. In addition, when introduced to the rigors of racing, stock hoses can leak or burst. DRM’s braided stainless steel lines are designed to handle the demands of racing by also transmitting maximum fluid pressure to the calipers. Results are improved braking, a firmer pedal and increased driver confidence.

Chassis bars C5 and C6

The stock chassis is flexible by nature and can limit suspension effectiveness. DRM StifferChassis bars significantly reduce chassis flex and increase both cornering capabilities and maneuverability. All bars are hand-built and jig fabricated for an exact fit. DRM bars do not inhibit entry/exit or rear vision. (Tubing Specifications: 1.75-inch dia., .120-thick seamless tubing)

Crow Racing Harness

The lap belts attach to the stock seat belt mounts and normal use of the stock belts is not inhibited. The shoulder belts attach to the DRM StifferChassis bar and the anti-submarine belts attach to the seat track mounts/floor, and are brought together with a quick release fastener. Perhaps the greatest advantage with this harness is that the steering wheel is used solely for steering and not for lateral support of the driver in high G-force corners.

S.F.I. certified harness offered by DRM is designed specifically for use in Corvettes, and Camaros that are fitted with a DRM StifferChassis bar.

Long Wheel Studs

When wheel spacers are used, longer than stock wheel studs are often necessary for proper thread engagement. DRM offers 1/2-inch longer zinc plated studs. Race studs are 1-inch longer and made from 190,000 PSI Chrome Moly. Both types are compatible with stock lug nuts

Kirban Shifter for C5 and C6

Get a more positive feel out of your shifting.  These shifters not only give you a better feel.  They also reduce the time spent shifting.  The less time shifting the lower the lap times.  They reduce the throw by about 20 percent.

DRM STEERING RACK BUSHING



These DRM Steering rack bushings will increase steering feel.  The solid bushings will increase steering feel and get rid of unwanted slop in the rack.  The bushings are made from aluminum and are plated black for a long lasting finish.  Like all of our products the idea and design came from racing and they work.
