Heat, moisture and vibration are all the enemy of electronic hardware, and will always shorten its life. A race environment is long on all three, so make sure you have a spare Opti Spark unit, because when they go bad, you go nowhere. DRM only sells new O.E.M. GM/AC Delco units.
