DRM
has now completed our latest race car project. Slated for GT3 competition in
Europe, the car packs an production block LS1 stroked to 383 cubic inches.
After 3 months of engine development and $100,000 of engine R&D, the
engine now boasts 628 horsepower at 6400 rpm and 560 lb ft of torque at
4800 rpm. It's all fed by
a DRM custom carbon fiber induction system into 8 DRM custom billet aluminum
throttle bodies. The DRM fabricated chassis uses some C5R style suspension components, and is dressed in full C5R style bodywork.
Tipping the scales
at roughly 2,600 pounds, this GT3 also utilizes the full factory C5 Corvette drivetrain.
Our final
track testing was completed last week at Hallett Raceway in
Oklahoma. Everything went fantastic. The engine ran flawlessly
and the race car exceeded our wildest dreams. The car has been
shipped via a Boeing 747 and is now in Switzerland where it will be
raced. We wish "Oscar" the best of luck with his new C5
race car!
Watch for the next DRM project soon to be
completed: The construction of our 2000
C5 World Challenge race car driven by Scotty B. White.
You can have Doug build a
DRM C5R for you too. Just allow at least 6-month and $300,000 and its
yours.

Garage in Zurich Switzerland. Heinz is our official European distributor
of DRM race cars and high performance parts. Heinz flew to the US to
help test this race car for his customer Oscar who is also from
Switzerland. Heinz will be maintaining this race car and others
along with the DRM 1995 LeMans race car that he purchased from DRM.
The LeMans car is currently being campaigned in racing circuits in Europe.
