|
Cylinder head porting is recognized as one of the single best ways to boost an engine’s torque and horsepower. But all porting is not alike. Years of building race engines and street engines has taught DRM first hand that just because it works on the track doesn’t mean it’s right for the street. This experience allows DRM to choose which cylinder head and which porting treatment is correct for your specific application. Optimal port size and shape is painstakingly created by hand at DRM and a Super Flow 600 flow bench is used to check progress. No port is considered done until it is tested for power improvement either on the engine dyno or chassis dyno. Once a port is approved, DRM then chooses whether to digitize the port for CNC porting or continue to port it by hand. Whichever way brings the best product to the customer at the best value is selected. | |||

The roller rockers used and sold by DRM feature a rigid, extruded aluminum body, delivering long term durability and precise ratios. Their full roller bearing fulcrum dramatically reduces frictional losses resulting in a cooler running valve train. All this adds up to more reliability and increased horsepower. Rockers for L-98 and LT1 engines are small in size to minimize valve cover modifications. Additional components may be required for proper installation. |

Cam Doctor One of the instruments used by DRM in the process of camshaft development is the Cam Doctor. It measures and maps out the cam lobes allowing for careful analysis of its profile Each camshaft offered by DRM is a product of extensive in-house testing. Cams are especially developed to deliver maximum increases in both torque and horsepower, while maintaining all aspects of driveability. Custom off-road only race cams are also available upon request. |

With a stock pan, heavy cornering, braking and acceleration force oil away from the pick up screen, temporarily starving the engine of oil. Also, high engine RPMs create horsepower-robbing windage. The DRM high capacity racing oil pan features a windage tray and a series of baffles and trap doors to control oil flow under all conditions. Pan comes with replacement pick up tube. |

Oil Coolers Extreme lubricant temperatures create a two-fold problem. Even the best oils will lose some lubrication efficiency as temperatures soar. In addition, when oil is not being cooled it can’t pull enough heat out of the components it’s designed to protect. Operating engines, transmissions and rear ends at excessive temperatures is a guarantee of short component life. DRM offers a full line of engine, automatic and manual transmission, and differential oil coolers. Kits come complete with radiators, mounts, stainless steel braided hoses, fittings and pumps where applicable. |

High Performance Aluminum Radiator High horsepower engines create a lot of heat, and it takes a good radiator to keep temps down. These all-aluminum radiators’ high-flow cooling channels and increased capacity can reduce water temps as much as 20°F. In addition, their fully welded construction is strong enough to handle the tortures of racing. Radiators maintain cooling ports for automatic transmissions and are built to fit their specified application with little or no modification |

C5 Corvette High Performance Aluminum Radiator with Integral Oil Cooler This high capacity aluminum radiator has a internal engine oil cooler that will dramatically increase the cooling capacity of C5 Corvettes. This is ideal for anyone with a modified engine or operating in extreme conditions such as hot arid climates, autocrossing and road racing applications. For cars with automatic transmissions a similar radiator is available without the engine oil cooler. This radiator will cool engines up to 650hp. The kit comes complete with Aeroquip braided lines, necessary hardware and fittings. |

Keeping water temperatures low can mean higher horsepower and fewer worries in hot weather. DRM has thermostats for all climates, all with special air purge holes to eliminate pockets of air that can cause overheating. |
