This weekend the Chicago chapter of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club held their annual "Road America Fall Challenge" time trial event.  This is one of the best events of the season and the people from the Alfa club are the greatest bunch of car guys and gals that you'll ever meet.  On Saturday the track was still wet from rain the night before but conditions improved by 11:00am.   The temperature was around 50 degrees with overcast sky conditions so the track was a little cold but you could make plenty of horsepower.  Sunday started off great with a balmy Wisconsin morning around 39 degrees then rain moved in after lunch and the event was closed early.  The weather still held off enough for some fast action with practice sessions and timed runs.

Also, it was great to see some Corvettes and ZR1's from Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa in attendance.  Many of them had DRM modifications or parts installed.  All the Corvettes did well and we are glad to see Corvette people running high speed events.

The Format for the time trials is one warm-up lap then two flying laps.  Four cars on the track at a time.   Sixty cars were in attendance and although there was some tough competition from the Vipers and an NSX our DRM C500/RSR took first place!
